A piece of land is like a book. A wise person can look at stones
and mountains and read stories older than the first living thing
that crawled on the earth. Hidden in the land are the bones of giant
animals and plants that died before the first people lived. And since
the first people made homes on the land, many people and tribes have
come and gone. The land still remembers, however... The land even
holds secrets about how people might live in the future.
